Play time...tub time....

We got home tonight and gave the girls baths. They has so much fun washing each other's hair, playing, etc....we took a few pictures.

We have all been pleasantly surprised at how well Ashleigh and Brinley have been getting along! They have not fought once since she arrive...they are staying with us, you'd think they would get sick of each other after so many hours together, but it's not been that way at all....I love it! Brinley is such a joy to have around...her parents are pretty cool too. ;-)

The house offer

I went house hunting with Arah and my Realtor today. This is the 3rd house we went to see. It is SO perfect for us! It is in the Ranches neighborhood of Eagle Mountain which is about 20 miles south west of Salt Lake. (Near Lehi) Go to http://melaniekomenkul.utahrealestate.com/ and enter in the MLS# 758145.

It is completely move in ready-NOTHING will have to be done for us to live in it happily! After I saw it with Arah, I took Nick back in the afternoon and he fell in love with it too. We put an offer on it right then and there. The ball is rolling and if everything goes as planned, we'll be moving there the end of March/Beginning of April! Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) Here are some other pictures that you may not see on the website... (thank you Arah for taking them for me!)

Here is our view from the front porch. Ash and Brinley sure had fun playing in the snow!

It has a separate living room and family room.

The beautiful archway between the family room and dining room

The most important part as far as Nick is concerned-it has a jetted tub in the master bath!

One of my favorite things-it has a cold storage! I don't really know why, but I am obsessed with having cold storage in my house!

My laundry room. :-)

Our garage complete with fancy pants cabinets! Nick likes the garage so that's good! I figure as long as my van fits, I'll be happy!

So, that's about it....we're so excited. This house is seriously an amazing deal and we hope more than anything that we can get it! Wish us luck!

The proposal

So we went to the Hakes old ward (They were having a ward Valentine dance) as a surprise to see Nick's cousin Lindsey get proposed to. We hid in the Relief Society room until we got the signal to go in the gym....Cody was up on stage I didn't really understand what his excuse was for being up there, but when we got in there he was giving her flowers, etc and then got down on 1 knee and proposed. It was really sweet! I guess they've had the date set for a bit cause they had to reserve the Salt Lake Temple well in advance, but their engagement just wasn't official until then. It was exciting that we could be a part of such a joyous occasion for them! We wish them so much happiness! We just love Lindsey to death and we both think that Cody is a GREAT addition to their family.

My camera doesn't know how to take pictures in the dark so here are the bad pictures I took of the proposal.

Then we decided to stick around the watch the happy couple and dance a bit....here are some random picture of the night....

Uncle Matt dancing with his daughter Brinley.

Randy and Juli are holding Preston and dancing with him-it was so sweet!

Preston saw this little girl there and immediately started to follow her around...then she would follow him...then she would lose interest...then he would go right up in front of her and start dancing. It seriously looked like a little animal mating ritual considering how hard he tried to "get her". Apparently his dancing skills worked cause she stuck around and played/danced with him for a bit. It was stinking adorable...and it was the most attention he has ever given another person his own size. Cute Cute Cute!

It was a very fun night. Want to know what the guys were doing-most of the time while us girls were inside at the dance?

Yup, sitting on the couch outside.

(Randy didn't join the boys until the end of the dance-he at least danced with his wife a couple of times!)

oh-well.

More pictures of the kids

Hi, so I took some pictures of the kids yesterday...they actually turned out pretty cute, so here they are. I love my kids!!!!

Our day today...

This morning I lost our camera so I forced Ashleigh to stay in my room while I tried to find it. Finally about 20 min later I found it in her closet....I forgot I left it there. I let her come out of my room and in to the kitchen where she found her Valentine's Day surprise.

For the rest of the day she keeps saying-"I love my beautiful rose, that was no nice of daddy to get it for me!" (I got her the stuffed animal...)

Then, after we got dressed, we headed to Nick's work. I had one of his co-workers, Brian, keep me informed of when Nick was going to go to lunch so I could arrive with out his knowledge. I had made a candy board card for him which I put on his desk, and threw rose petals all around and on his desk, I left a bag of Peachy-Oh candy's that he likes and another little card. Then we (the kids and I) hid in the back room and waiting for him to get back from lunch. Here are the kids playing while we waited....

Preston trying to reach that golf ball that rolled under a desk...

Preston wanting to get on the chair to sit with Ashleigh...

And Preston whining to get back down....ugh

Ash said-mom, take a video of us....so here it is....

And then Nick arrived.....He was very surprised to see us! He says he hates when I do stuff to embarrass him at work, but I think he secretly loves it! ha ha...besides, I love doing it for him, so he needs to just take it like a man! :)
