The Doll House Festival

Every year there is an event called the Doll House Festival. It's a charity event put on by the Child Abuse Prevention Counsel to raise money for their cause. (Tam--is all this correct?) I went last year and was able to get a few things that we used for stocking stuffers for Christmas.
This year it was at the Provo City Library. Preston was a GRUMP!!!!! But Ashleigh and I had fun.
They had dozens of doll houses available for silent auction and tons of other things that were very inexpensive to purchase--along with some games and that kids could play.

while we were there we saw they were having a "Mad-hatter tea party". I put my name down so that Ashleigh and I could be invited to it next year. This is the ballroom after the tea party was done.

Nick was great to try to keep Preston happy...not successful. We woke him up from his nap when we arrived and boy did that make him MAD!

We were able to get a picture with the mad-hatter and the Cheshire cat though.

And of course we got our faces painted. The lady who does them is so talented--she painted our faces last year too.
Ashleigh insisted on getting the exact same thing as me.

We kept giving chances to Preston to be good by letting him out of his stroller, but the "good boy" only lasted a minute before the "bad boy" came out and the yelling and tantrums began. Ah, the joys of parenthood in public....
On our way out we saw this statue of a boy so we thought we'd go and see what he was reading.
It was a really fun. I can't wait to go back again next year.
