Christian

My mom just got back from Vancouver where she watched my sisters two girls while they are away on vacation. She was able to go to the cemetery where Christian is buried. I am so glad she did that.... I was a BAD mom and didn't go see him when I was in Vancouver last January. I felt just horrible! His headstone needs a lot of TLC. I wish I were there to take care of it and clean it all off and make it pretty again. The flowers my mom got look very nice though! :) I am just glad she went.... hopefully when I go back to Vancouver in another year I'll be able to remember to go see him. I hope he has forgiven me.

You don't need to be forgiven for anything. You know that he loves his mommy and his grave is the resting place for his body, but his spirit is wherever you are. He knows you need to be doing just what you are doing by being a good mom to his siblings. Don't be hard on yourself. The flowers do look pretty - your mom is sweet to do that. I love you...

You are a good mom. I ditto what mom said. Christian loves you and is happy you are raising his siblings in the gospel. I think what he cares about the most is being able to be with you all again.

don't feel horrible...i didn't get up to Olivia's on her birthday this year and it was her first...does that make me a bad mom? I feel guilty. we are going on saturday.
you do what you can, his body may be there, but his spirit is with you guys.
love you!

Oh Megan - quit beating yourself up because you didn't go see his headstone! Should I beat myself up because I forgot to bring clippers and things to clean the headstone? You have nothing to be feeling guilty about. As long as you are a terrific mom (which you are) who raises your living children to KNOW Jesus Christ and to live the Gospel, you'll all be together forever. That's the only thing that counts!! Christian is rooting for all of you to join him in the Celestial Kingdom, Megan! He's your wee guardian angel sent to keep you on the right path to God (and to him.) Christian is keeping Olivia company and I'm sure Great Grandpa Ballard is teaching him all the fine arts of "fishing" for men!! :-) Love you. mom
